A 0.425 kg hover soccer ball toy bounces off the wall. A student measuring the following:
Incoming velocity: 3.0 m/s at 58.9° with the wall
Outgoing velocity: 2.0 m/s at 46.1° with the wall

In a recent Game 7 of the American League Championship Series, Ernie Clement threw to first base in an attempt to complete a double play. However, Josh Naylor deliberately got in the way of the throw and took a baseball to the helmet in what was deemed an interference to the play.
Suppose the 0.150 kg ball came in horizontally at 35 m/s and upon contact, leaves Naylor’s helmet at 28 m/s at an angle of 40° above the horizontal. Determine the (a) magnitude and (b) direction of the impulse imparted to the ball as a result of the collision. You may assume that the force exerted by the helmet is much larger than the gravitational force on the ball so that the gravitational force is effectively negligible during the collision.
