TIME: It takes 6 months to 2 years to receive a certificate or degree at a trade school depending on the trade and full time attendance. In comparison to a traditional 4 year college, which can take up to 4 years to receive an associate's degree or bachelor degree depending on attendance. During the 6 months to 2 years at a trade school, an apprenticeship is often required. This sometimes gives the students the chance to earn money while working towards their certificate/degree.

EXPERIENCE: Trade schools usually hold classes of fewer than 20 students depending on the trade. This can offer a better experience for students. Trade schools might be the best option for students who may struggle in a regular classroom setting.
