For the Vets' 2021-2022 year-long action project, they decided that they wanted to find a way to bring the discussion of race and antiracism to a younger audience. With that, they wrote and designed a children's book that details three major lessons about race in a kid-friendly manner. From cultural appropriation to racial identity, the book gives kids a way to start thinking about how race plays a role in their lives. Thus far, they have been printed and read to two first-grade classes.
