RMS SO COMPETITIVE TEAM SELECTION PROCESS (Updated for 2023)
All students (new and returning) will submit SO Registration Form
Students will be assigned FINAL events for Science Olympiad. They will also be assigned to ONE competitive team, or can continue as a non-competitive member
Each competitive team member is expected to take 3-4 events
There will be an optional interview with Mr. Owens to share any concerns about Science Olympiad event preparation
There are multiple restrictions on event assignments. So, students may not get all events they are interested in. They need to have an open mind to explore and learn new areas
Team formation and event assignment restrictions will be covered in details during the SO Informational Meeting
For Invitationals, event assignments would remain the same, but partner may change
For Regional, team assignment and partner would be the same as assigned in (2)
