Yasamin Motamedi is a Research Associate in Experimental Psychology at University College London. Her work focusses on the interaction of cognition, culture and modality in language evolution and language development.

Marieke Schouwstra is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Language Evolution at the University of Edinburgh. Her work focuses on the role of semantic properties in improvisation, interaction and iterated learning.

Piera Filippi is a research associate at the Institute of Language, Communication, and the Brain (University of Aix-Marseille, France). Her work explores the biological roots of human language in animal vocal communication, with a special focus on emotional voice intonation.
