All staff positions are filled by volunteers, and are considered 'part-time' with no scheduled hours.

Community Manager

Overview

The Community Manager will be responsible for working with senior leadership of the community to assist in building the road map for the community’s future. This may include scheduling and organizing events, community structure planning, server additions, and so on.

Expectations

Communicate with senior leadership to develop changes, processes and procedures that affect the community.
Work alongside leadership to develop a roadmap to help guide the future of the community.
Work with leadership to obtain servers for community events.
Assist in organizing community events that encourage engagement with target audiences.
Play an active role within discord and within the community, including moderation of channels.

Community Events Manager

Overview

Community Events Organizer will be responsible for managing and maintaining a list of events held by the community. This may include working with content creators to help organize stream events, or community game nights, movie nights, and so on.

Communicate with leadership and content creators to assist in developing engaging community events and activities.
Play an active role within discord and within the community, including moderation of channel and actively participating in events or discussions.
Assists in development of community roadmap.
Brainstorm creative ways for content creators to collaborate with one another.

Recruitment Officer

Overview

The Recruitment Officer will work with senior leadership in scouting new content creators and staff members, and ensuring that selected individuals will be a good addition to the family. The Recruitment Officer will be expected to generate a portion of recruitment announcements, as well as formal offers to content creators and staff.

Communicate with senior leadership to understand community goals and recruit members accordingly.
Seek out new talent (content creators and staff members) and begin engaging with them to generate interest.
Vet potential new members to ensure that there will be cohesion after recruitment.
Prepare leadership for recruitment meetings by debriefing on potential candidates.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to create and offer posts to potential candidates and announcements upon acceptance.
Play an active role in discord and within the community to understand the character traits and values of the community.

Operational Support Specialist

Overview

The Operational Support Specialist will be responsible for onboarding new content creators and assisting with the setup and configuration of audio/visual components of their streaming/recording software, maintaining up-to-date on current tech trends, and scouting new talent.

Communicate with content creators to discover what resources they need access to, and then research possible avenues.
Assist in searching for creative talent, such as artists that create emotes, badges, overlays and logos that fit within the streamers budget.
Assist with finding free resources when a streamers budget can’t support premium, custom resources.
Play an active role in discord and within the community.

Content Coach

Overview

The Content Coach will be responsible for assisting content creators in generating ideas for content and guiding them in the right direction to increase their chances of success. The individual will be expected to understand basic aspects of social media, including content creation algorithms, such as YouTube’s algorithm, as well as understanding effective ways to engage with stream audiences.

Pass on knowledge of content creation algorithms to help creators develop good upload practices
Coach creators on how to better engage with their audience and retain new viewers.

Media Specialist (Audio/Visual)

Overview

The A/V Media Specialist will be there to assist content creators in achieving proper audio/visual levels within their application of choice. Basic knowledge to be expected will be how and when to adjust various aspects of audio/visual settings to improve overall appearance and sound of the stream or recording.

Curate lists of guides or resources to provide to creators to help improve their knowledge in audio/visual matters.
Take part in community driven activities to ensure quality content is uploaded to social media accounts.

Media Specialist (Graphics & Design)

Overview

The Graphics & Designs Media Specialist will be there to assist content creators with stream layout/design and provide input and feedback on changes that would improve overall viewer experience with the stream or content.

Assist creators with generating graphics for special events or streams.
Provide feedback to creators on overall design quality or areas of improvement.
Work with leadership to generate images and files for merchandise or other community related graphics.

Social Media Manager

Overview

The Social Media manager will be expected to help maintain content going up on social media that reflects the community standards and values, and helps to draw new members and audiences in.

Expectations

Work with senior leadership to keep fresh content going out to target audiences.
Help build an audience with our community on various social media platforms.
Engage new users on social media platforms to drive them into the community.
Keep up to date with current going-ons and work with other projects to provide insight (such as for future podcasts, etc)

Web Designer

Overview

The Website Designer will be responsible for helping to maintain the RPG website, and it’s content. Their responsibilities will focus on building website content, design and changes.

Expectations

Assist in setting up and configuring the website.
Once built, the web designer will help maintain the website by:
1. Adjusting the theme to align with current market trends within the gaming industry in terms of aesthetics and layout.
2. Adjust settings as needed to maintain a safe place for users to be.
3. Assist in content creation for the website, or post content as needed.
4. Expand functionality in staged processes to increase usability.

Technical Support Specialist

Overview

The Technical Support Specialist will assist staff and content creators with technical issues as they arise. Their primary goal will be to provide technical support in areas such as hardware and software, and provide advice for purchasing new equipment to replace or upgrade existing parts, or expanding functionality.

Assist RPG members with troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues in both software and hardware areas.
Remain up-to-date on knowledge of current technology trends and patterns as technology evolves.
Provide troubleshooting and diagnosing of Windows OS issues.
Provide support for major streaming programs, such as OBS and SLOBS.
