Applicants guide to take you through each step
Step 2: What happens next ?
The safeguarding officer will now process your application. As part of this process, your Identification documents will need to be verified.Â
The safeguarding officer will make contact with you shortly to arrange this step in the process.
Step 3: After receiving your DBS certificate.
You are now invited to sign up to the Update Service. For volunteers, this is a free service enabling your DBS to be constantly kept up to date. This means you will not need to re-apply for a new DBS in 3 years or if you change roles ( as long as you continue to work with the same age group ie adults or children )
To sign up to the update service, click here. This must be done within 30 days of the date stated on your DBS certificate.
Step 4: Final step which must be completed by ALL applicants
