I received my B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Cognitive Psychology from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey, where I worked with Dr. Aysecan Boduroglu and Dr. Esra Mungan. After that, I worked with Dr. Benjamin Tamber-Rosenau in the Cognitive Neuroscience of Attention Lab at the University of Houston and received my Ph.D. degree in Developmental, Cognitive, and Behavioral Neuroscience. I am generally interested in perception, working memory, and attention. Specifically, I am interested in how the shared and independent mechanisms between each of these cognitive stages interact to overcome the limited capacity of cognition.
