The only version of Onenote that my windows 11 laptop will open is the office 365 install version which I hate the user interface of. I tried uninstalling it and downloading the windows store version but it's the same. I really need the offline capabilities and drawing found in the windows 10 app. Is the a fix for this? My desktop is still using windows 10 and I think I'll go back to that on my laptop if there isn't a way around this.

I have an Intel Pentium iii Coppermine CPU with a VIA Apollo PLE133 (VT8601) chipset (no graphics cards) and 256Mb of RAM. I can't seem to find any display drivers, I managed to get out of the 640x480 16 colors by using the svga drivers (even though windows 98 says it is not compatible, it worked). Now, I am at 800x600 256 colors. I would like to get to 800x600 16 bit colors.

Is it just me or I have a windows update like every other week. Its so annoying. Then microsoft does some shady crap like starts syncing my one drive asking me to update, or after the update asks me to up update office 365, or change my setting, or install some other crap.

Using both OneNote 2016 and OneNote for Windows 10 on Surface Pro 8 with the slim pen 2. Both have their benefits: OneNote for Windows 10 is definitely easier to use and is way faster. OneNote 2016 has more features, but out of date and has issues with multiple DPIs requiring a little display hack found on other reddit posts.

Since the last windows 11 update, whenever I try to change/tune my gpu settings, it makes my pc immediately crash. And I'm not the only one having the same issue. ( _think_a_windows_11_updates_is_messing_with_my/)

Whenever you open windows explorer and close it, the ram it uses is increased by a few MBs without going down when you close it. For example: When I turn on my pc, Windows explorer uses 60mb, and then when I open a random folder, it reaches 80, and when I close the same window, it only drop to 70mb, not 60. and after I open and close a folder multiple times, it reaches a 1 GB!! even after closing everything! The only way to bring it back to normal is by restarting windows explorer from task manager or restarting the computer. It comes close to being unusable cuz of too much ram usage if you don't know that this bug exists. This even makes the Fans go crazy too. I have attached 3 pictures as an example. pic 1 is when you open File explorer for the first time after a boot, pic 2 is after you open it 2 to 3 times and close it, pic 3 is when you open and close it several times. As you can see, its stuck at 700MB even with all windows closed.

Hi, as the title says Windows updates are fuckn my life. 4-5 years ago, i stopped using windows because i HATE updates that i didnt ask for, changed to Linux, was happy with my life till i find my dream job 2 years ago in a logistics company. I love my job, but because of the reasons im gonna tell, i even thought about changing it, no BS.

And you may think "whats the big deal?" i tell you guys what the problem is. EVERY FUCKN UPDATE takes 5 to 7 hours to finish. For example my boss asks for a small thing, says "can u do X till tomorrow?" and i say "sure, easy np". I go home, spend time with my loved ones, do my own shit and then sit to work and boom, my PC is slow as garbage, nothing works. Then i understand there is a fuckn update going on, Try to close my PC (generally have to force shutdown because it doesnt respond to anything at some point) which also takes sometimes a few hours. Then the best part is, when i re-open it, i get the HOLY UPDATE SCREEN which takes a few hours too. Then i FUCKN HAVE TO SACRIFICE from my sleep to finish my work, because of NOTHING. You may think like, "then do your job first" but i cant guess when there is an update or not. And I DONT HAVE TO SCHEDULE MYSELF TO FUCKN MICROSOFT. Im at a point to lose my sanity, this is going on for 2 fuckn years and i asked even in reddit for help before, nothing worked.

So i just connected my pc fully after a while, and well my wifi network wont showup at all, other networks in my neighborhood do, but not mine i tried ressetting manually installing looking online but no luck so please anyone help me , its windows 8.1

I have tested a solution to run one of my WireGuard servers on Windows to access the host and also the local network at site. I have borrowed much of the setup from:

Windows user here. I am getting a MacBook Pro soon and going to make it my main productivity and creative laptop. I have been developing games on another engine for the past 3 years on windows, but I am considering making the switch to Unity, I also want to switch to the MacBook. Mainly I have 3 concerns for using Unity on Mac,

I saw someone say that your satisfaction with Linux will depend heavily on what you expect to get out of switching. Personally, and im aware of how silly this sounds, i'm contemplating switching mostly because of how customizable it is aesthetically in comparison to windows.

I've also heard about video game compatibility, and i think most of the games id wanna play and other applications i use are compatible with linux, I also dont mind having to boot into windows to game when necessary. So with all that, is switching worth it in my case?

1-I can search, select, highlight texts from pdf easily 2- can add texts quickly and easily 3-friendly for windows touch screen drawing 4- (ideally) I can write something on the side.

I heard notability works great but I don't own any apple products. All the reddit posts I read suggest onenote, but onenote doesn't allow me to select and highlight texts. It'll save me so much time to select and highlight text at the same time. Any input is much appreciated, thanks!

But let us address the elephant in the room: The Snapdragon 8cx has abysmal performance compared to the Apple M series chips. No matter how much work Microsoft puts in for x64 translation and even though it is of similar efficiency and speed at this point, it will not run well without a powerful ARM chip and hardware x86 acceleration. This is why windows on ARM runs so well even though it's emulated on the apple silicon Macs. The raw power of the ARM apple chips makes them very capable, even with Windows. This is why I am very hopeful for Qualcomm's X series chips that are being announced this week, they could be game changing, and I hope they can compete with Intel and AMD

TLDR: Windows on ARM has become very capable and could become even better with the rumored improvements of Windows 12. However, we need a more powerful Snapdragon chip for windows laptops, and I am hopeful that it happens with this week's announcements.

Just what the title says. I am looking to DL windows 10 on my device when it gets here Wednesday. I am choosing 10 because according to some other reddit posts Riot anti cheat has a problem with SD on Win11.

So that being said, what's the equivalent for Win10? Googling debloat windows 10 for steam deck doesn't seem to be getting me anywhere, versus if you do the same search with win11 it shows Bloaty Nosy every time.

Also any other advice on downloads for windows, looks like he is using some controller software, a custom overlay for FPS/CPU/GPU monitoring, and obviously the drivers provided by Steam. Do I need anything else? I think someone mentioned custom wifi drivers in another thread, I havent read much into it yet. Obv I will, just since i'm already asking one thing... Doesnt hurt ya'know.

On windows it's hassle free, new windows of the same app creates a new instance of the app, therefore the same command is used for switching between apps and windows + there is no Finder app in your system all the time.

Just to add an example, I usually have a site and developer console in chrome open, so a minimum of two windows. As well as several windows of another app, and a third app. (Then there is the f***** Finder) 2351a5e196
