Drug Awareness Rally

The staff of the Red Cross Drug De-Addiction Centre, Sangrur conducted a Drug Awareness Rally today, 18 November 2025, under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

The rally began from Barnala Chowk and concluded at the Bus Stand, aiming to spread awareness among the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage a healthier, addiction-free lifestyle. During the rally, the staff members motivated people to stay away from intoxicants and adopt positive habits. The initiative received good response from the local community, contributing to the ongoing efforts to create a drug-free society.

Mega Cleanliness drive with community participation

Celebrated five years of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan on 18th November, 2025 at Red Cross Drug De-Addiction Hospital , Sangrur (Punjab) Mega Cleanliness drive with community participation roads (Cleanliness Target Units “CTU”). Road, street and water coolers cleaned with the help staff members and citizens.

Painting competitions and Yoga were conducted at Red Cross De-addiction Hospital Sangrur.

Trees were planted at Red Cross Drug De-Addiction Hospital , Sangrur (Punjab) with the help staff members and citizens.

Awareness Camp at DIET College

A three-day awareness camp was successfully organized at DIET College. The program was conducted by Ms. Shaminderpal Kaur (Staff Nurse), Ms. Simranpreet Kaur (Accountant), Mr. Nirbhai Singh (Ward Boy), and Mr. Gurdeep Singh (Staff Nurse). The camp focused on spreading awareness about drug abuse, its harmful effects, and the importance of a drug-free lifestyle among students.

Cleanliness Drive (Safai Abhiyan)

A cleanliness drive was conducted by the admitted patients. This activity encouraged discipline, hygiene awareness, and a sense of social responsibility among the inmates.
