Nic is a self confessed IT geek. He has been working in schools for over 20 years. He is a class teacher, Specialist Teacher for Computing and Digital Learning at The Raglan Schools, Primary CAS Master Teacher, CAS community leader, a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator, a Google Certified Educator, a Google Certified Trainer, a Microbit Chamption and works part-time as an independent educational consultant.
He loves to explore the different ways technology can be used to enhance teaching and learning. He is a massive fan of physical computing and robotics and how they can be used to support the teaching of programming.
In the past he worked as an educational consultant for Strictly Education 3BM and alongside the education team in the London Borough of Redbridge as an AST for ICT. He ran training, supported schools and wrote curriculum. He has been lucky enough to speak at a number of conferences over the years about his work with robots, physical computing and the application of Games Based Learning in the classroom.
He is eager for as many teachers as possible to learn more about Computing and the pedagogies to teach it effectively.
