Magnus has held a number of  positions within pharmacy and healthcare organisations that has resulted in a range of skills and breadth of experience.

These include:

• 20 years experience as an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist in a busy general practice providing direct patient care for acute and chronic health problems, medicines management input, training, audit, clinical IT support, and service design support

• Clinical commissioning support for ambulance commissioning, including 999, NHS 111 and patient transport services

• Clinical leadership for NHS England as a Clinical Advisor for Urgent and Emergency Care covering the North West of England

• 10 years previous experience in a GP Out of Hours service completing episodes of care through telephone triage assessment and ongoing support to clinical governance

• Clinical mentor in the Lancashire area for the CPPE General Practice Pharmacist Training Programme

• Course design and delivery support to a number of academic institutions, including Liverpool John Moores University

• Previously a trainer and author for the former National Prescribing Centre, now the Medicines and Prescribing Centre at NICE

• Previous PCT pharmaceutical adviser, hospital and community pharmacist

• Range of consultancy experience
