RecycleAbilities Woodwork is an Micro-Enterprise that was set up in December 2023 to provide me with purposeful employment while helping the environment.

RecycleAbilities-Woodwork goals are to:

• Give my life purpose through gainful employment and a valued social role.

• Showcase my many abilities rather than defining me by my diagnosis of Autism with intellectual and communication impairments.

• Reduce waste: all my boards are made with repurposed wood.

• Raise money for my local Men's Shed.

• Attend more local markets. 

About Ryan

• Despite my challenges am a capable young man with a great work ethic and I am very neat, tidy and organised. 

• I love animals, especially dogs and cats. 

• I also love to build things, whether it is a Lego model or a Bird Box

• My favourite activity is Making kitchen boards at my local Men’s Shed, with my NDIS mentor from offcuts of wood destined to be dumped or destroyed it gives me great joy and satisfaction. 

• I love recycling 10c containers and will spot and pick up bottles or cans absolutely anywhere. I like donating a percentage of what I collect to charities, it makes me feel happy to know I can help others. You can find out more about me and RecycleAbilitiies at https://recycleabilities.com.au
