If you are interested in submitting a manuscript proposal using the GIS datasets aggregated to census tracts and zip code tabulation areas OR using the longitudinal datasets assembled for REGARDS and CHS please follow the instructions for the pertinent dataset.
How to submit a manuscript proposal using the longitudindal data assembled for REGARDS and CHS
Getting Started
Review the Directory of Manuscripts to ensure there is no overlap in your research question or concept.
At least one member of the RECVD Team should be included as a co-author. See the Team Directory on Meet the Team page for the list of RECVD Team members (highlighted in Blue). Paper proposals using RECVD GIS data linked to CHS, REGARDS, or other cohort data should be submitted to the respective parent studies.

The REGARDS and CHS manuscript proposal forms are available on the websites for the respective parent studies. See the instruction below.
RECVD "starter" proposals for CHS and REGARDS manuscript proposals are available on the Starter Proposal page. The "starter" proposals contain suggested language (in BLUE) for Manuscript Proposals using RECVD GIS data linked to REGARDS or CHS.
Submit the proposal to the appropirate parent study.

CHS-RECVD Starter Manuscript Proposal: This manuscript proposal contains suggested language (in BLUE) for CHS Manuscript Proposals using RECVD GIS data linked to CHS. Please delete the BLUE text that does not apply prior to submitting your proposal to CHS.

Getting started
Review the Directory of Manuscripts to ensure there is no overlap in your research question or concept.
RECVD Co-Author - At least one member of the RECVD Team should be included as a co-author. See the Team Directory on Meet the Team page for the list of RECVD Team members (highlighted in Blue).
Proposal Form
Proposals using datasets aggregated to census tracts or zip code tabulations should submit their proposals using the RECVD GIS Manuscript Proposal.

Submit the Proposal
Once you have completed the form, submit your proposal for RECVD GIS Manuscript Submit Form
Complete the form (some fields are required).
At the end of the form, attach your proposal to upload it along with any other supporting materials (e.g. AIMS for grant, thesis, or dissertation).
Click on the Submit button.
You will receive and automated email that your submission was recorded in SmartSheet.
Once the RECVD Research Coordinator screens the submission for completeness, you will receive another email that your submission has been accepted and assigned a unique RECVD P&P ID. This unique ID will be needed for submitting subsequent work products (e.g., abstracts, manuscripts) that emanate from the proposal.
Review and Updates
Proposals and works-in- progress are reviewed at the RECVD Monthly meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1 PM ET. See the Home page for details. Feedback will be provided during the presentation and written comments will be provided within two weeks.
