Recurr is built on a simple principle: your financial data belongs to you, not us. This app is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal data.
We do not collect any of the following:
Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
Your subscription details, amounts, or billing dates
Your payment account information
Your location
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Usage analytics or behavioral data
Crash reports tied to your identity
All data you enter into Recurr — including subscription names, amounts, billing cycles, reminders, tags, and notes — is stored locally on your device only, using your device's secure local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or back it up yourself.
We have no access to this data. Ever.
If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, your subscription data will be synced across your Apple devices via Apple's iCloud service. This sync is handled entirely by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Recurr does not interact with your iCloud data in any way beyond reading and writing to your private iCloud container, which only you can access.
Recurr offers an optional AI-powered insights feature. This feature is disabled by default and requires you to provide your own Google Gemini API key in Settings.
If you choose to enable it:
A summary of your subscription data (names, amounts, categories — no payment details) is sent to AI API to generate spending insights.
This data is transmitted securely over HTTPS.
Recurr does not store or log any data sent to or received from the AI API.
The use of this data by Google is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the Gemini API Terms of Service.
You can disable AI Insights and clear the local AI cache at any time from Settings → AI.
Recurr may send you local push notifications to remind you of upcoming subscription renewals. These notifications are:
Generated entirely on your device
Never transmitted to any server
Fully controllable via your device's notification settings
Recurr uses the following third-party service for display purposes only:
Clearbit Logo API (logo.clearbit.com) — used to fetch brand logos for known subscription services. When a logo is displayed, your device makes a standard network request to Clearbit's servers to download the image. No personal data is included in these requests. See Clearbit's Privacy Policy.
No other third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, or advertising networks are integrated into Recurr.
Recurr does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. Since we collect no personal data from any user, the app is safe for general audiences.
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's own security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and using device-level security features.
Since Recurr does not collect or store any personal data on external servers, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf. All your data lives on your device and is entirely under your control. You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling Recurr.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this document. We will notify users of material changes through an in-app notice.
