Hello! My name is Sarah. I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2005 with a Bachelor's of Science in Recreational Therapy. I fell in love with senior living when I got my first CNA job in high school. Being around older adults has always felt natural to me and I spent my career creating world class programming for communities to enrich the lives of individuals living in long term care. Post COVID, I needed a change and was fortunate to build connections in the Omaha creative community and the healthcare network that eventually lead me to creating Moments with Purpose. I am excited to introduce my vision to our market. I am building a program that focuses on quality of life and encouraging people to engage in meaningful activities, find a creative outlet and socialize with others.
Creating moments with purpose, pleasure, and peace at every stage of life.
After working in healthcare for 25 years, I’ve witnessed a shortfall regarding quality of life and providing meaningful engagement to those who need it most. My mission is to provide purpose, pleasure and peace to individuals living at home, or in an environment where they may not have the option to do what they love. I believe everyone deserves a chance to live out their dreams and I want to help people find their purpose through recreation therapy.

“In 2018, my dad had a fall that changed the course of his life. I believe it was fate that brought Sarah into our lives. For me, she brought a sense of family, showing compassion and dedication in their time spent together. More importantly she was able to create a bond with my dad over their shared love of art. I watched their friendship develop and blossom as the years passed. He regained his optimism and sense of purpose. She poured her soul into making his life the best it could be. She never treated it as an obligation but an honor. Her energy and enthusiasm is contagious and she will always have a special place in my heart”. ~ Holly Engdahl
