In voting to remove John C. Calhoun’s name from the Honors College and requesting to remove Ben Tillman’s from Old Main, Clemson took a symbolic step forward. Now let’s push for material change. There's much work to be done in terms of recruiting Black and other students of color to Clemson, creating conditions in which they can flourish, and supporting minority student groups.
