We need all dancers to arrive at the theatre 45 minutes prior to show time.

Recital Reminders and Details

1. ARRIVAL: Dancers will enter through the back “STAGE DOOR” entrance into the Dressing Room - NO parents backstage this year. Drop off ONLY. Creative Movement and Combo Classes: One Female may bring dancers into dressing room . That family member will be dismissed from the dressing room promptly BY 10:40 so we can begin our show on time.  

2. Look for the signs noting your class locations. Not sure? Ask a DIM staff member upon arrival! 

3. Staff and class helpers will be there to assist you. 

4. Hair and make up done at home. Hair in a bun for all dancers. Costumes and shoes can be put on when the dancer arrives. Creative Movement and Combo Classes: Please arrive in costume! 

5. Creative Movement and Combo Classes: Please be sure to take ALL of their belongings with you at drop off.   

6. If parents take their seats as they arrive it will help tremendously to avoid back up in the lobby and allow us to start the show on time.   

7. Recitals will move fast, please plan to stay for the entire show as our staff will be working diligently to make the shows run smoothly. 

The 11 am show will be about 30 minutes

The 1 pm show will be about 2 hours

The 5 pm show will be about 2 hours  

8. Creative Movement and Combo Classes: We will dismiss dancers in show order one class at a time on the stage. One parent should come up to the stage to get your dancer. 

9. If dancers are in multiple classes a nude leotard is strongly encouraged to wear under your tights to provide coverage when changing costumes.

10. This is our Dressing Room so NO males please for drop off or pick up. 

11. Please be patient at dismissal as we have a lot of dancers and typically a packed house.

12. Water only - no food or drink is allowed in the dressing room.
