treat it like your next meal.
The hungrier you are, the bigger your bite:
• Pay attention in every class,
• Have a notebook for each course, and
• Do your assignments yourself.
Leave all those techniques. The only way to master something is to give it your full attention.
Don't be afraid of the work. Your brain has the storage capacity of around 500,000 256GB iPads, or more...
So, the only thing standing between you and each course is your willingness.
Show me a willing student, and I'll show you an excellent person. Grow up.
Break down the information to your style and language.
You don't think like everyone else. Use your notebook as a tool to organise your own thoughts. Understand what the lecturer is trying to show you.
Write with your own hand. 🖐️ Convert it to your currency. Create acronyms, mind maps, drawings, jingles, try things and see what you prefer.
The more bizarre it is, the easier it is to remember.
If you don't break it down, your brain will mark it as "Not Important", and we all know how that ends.
I just say make I warn you.
Test and refine your learning till it becomes part of you.
After converting it to your language, signal your brain to prioritise it through repetition.
Repeat, repeat, repeat. That's how to learn anything. 🧠
You'll need less repetitions once you understand the problem the course solves. You'll have mastered it.
Like food, it will energise you. You'll be oozing confidence when it's time for tests or exams.
Your coursemates will be wowed.
