Recent advances in the theory of submanifolds

Rome, Italy

Brief Description

The workshop will be focused on some fundamental aspects of submanifold theory where both geometric and analytic tools intertwine. A main focus of the workshop will be constant mean curvature surfaces and related theories, like solitons of the mean curvature flow, prescribed curvature equations, Willmore surfaces, overdetermined elliptic problems, or second order geometric elliptic PDEs. A special emphasis will be placed on the geometric study of submanifolds governed by curvature equations.

The workshop will consist of 12 main talks of 50 minutes each, and 10 shorter talks (40 minutes) for young resarchers.
