OVERVIEW
Receipt Pad does not require an account, and we do not sell personal information. You create receipts, quotes, invoices and credit notes, keep a book of clients and items, and share or print the documents as PDF. Your documents and business details are kept in the app's storage on your device. The app also uses Google services and an advertising mediation partner for analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and advertising.
YOUR BUSINESS AND CLIENT DETAILS
The documents you make contain the details you type: your name or business name, address, tax ID, email, phone, footer text, an optional logo and an optional finger-drawn signature, and the same contact fields for each client. Nothing in your Profile is required. Treat client details with care: they are part of every document you share.
PHOTOS
The app does not use the camera. When you choose a logo in Profile, the system photo picker gives the app only the image you pick and needs no library permission. The image is resized (600 pixels wide, JPEG) and stored in the app's own folder; it is not uploaded. A logo file is deleted only when the last document using it is removed from Trash and your Profile does not use it; other logo files, such as one you replaced or removed in Profile or one written by a restore, stay in the app's folder until you clear the app's data or delete the app.
INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
- Documents: type, number, your details and the client's details at the time, up to 300 line items, up to 8 taxes, dates (issue, due, valid until), payment method, notes (up to 2000 characters), document language and page size, the draft you are editing, and up to 50 issued revisions per document (an issued revision is never changed), plus paid status and links between related documents.
- Clients (name, address, tax ID, email, phone) and saved items (name, unit, price).
- Settings: your Profile, numbering rules and counters, and default taxes, page size, language and payment method.
There is no fixed limit on the number of documents, clients or items. Deleted records go to Trash and their remaining data is removed the first time the app is opened 30 or more days later (or sooner if you delete them forever); a deleted document's number is not handed out again. The app also keeps a list of deleted record IDs with their deletion times, without a limit, so that an older backup cannot silently bring deleted records back.
The app may also store basic operating information such as cached advertising settings and a cached More Apps list.
The developer does not run a server that receives your documents. The app reads developer-controlled advertising settings and a More Apps list from Google Cloud Firestore, but it does not upload your documents, clients, logo or signature. When you open More Apps, app icons are loaded from the web addresses in that list.
ANALYTICS, CRASH REPORTING, AND ADS
Google Firebase Analytics may process limited app-usage and technical information, such as app launches, screen views, menu opens, taps on Privacy Policy, More Apps and rating in the menu, review-prompt outcomes, on iOS whether the tracking prompt was shown and why (with tracking and consent status), ad revenue events (ad format, value, currency, precision), app version, device type, and app-instance identifiers. Feature events record when you issue a document (its type and revision number), share or print one (its type), mark an invoice paid, export a CSV (number of documents), or create or restore a backup (number of parts, number of missing logo files). These events do not include names, addresses, tax IDs, amounts, line items or document numbers.
Google Firebase Crashlytics may process crash reports and related technical information needed to diagnose app problems.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may also request ads from the InMobi mediation network. Google and InMobi may process advertising identifiers and device, app, consent, network, and ad-performance information to provide and measure ads, and may use an IP address to estimate an approximate location even though the app has no location permission.
PERMISSIONS AND ADVERTISING CHOICES
The app does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, Bluetooth, health data, or notification permissions. Choosing a logo uses the system photo picker, as described above.
When the app starts, Google's consent message (UMP) is checked first. Where it is required (for example in the EEA and UK), personalized advertising stays off unless your choice allows it. On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown only after that step and only if you have not answered it before; it is normally skipped when you have declined personalized ads in Google's consent message where EU-style consent rules apply (such as the EEA and UK), but it may still appear if the app cannot read the result of that message. If tracking is not allowed, the IDFA is not available to the app or its ad partners. If the consent message cannot be loaded, the app still requests non-personalized ads, the iOS tracking prompt may still appear, and personalized advertising stays off. The app works whatever you choose.
You can change iOS tracking permission in Settings. Where Google requires it, the app menu shows "Privacy choices", which reopens the consent message so you can change your advertising choice.
STORAGE AND YOUR CONTROL
You can move a document to Trash on its screen, and delete clients and items in Clients & Items. In "Backup & Trash" (in the app menu) you can restore them, delete them forever, or let them be removed after 30 days. You can edit or clear your Profile at any time. You can also clear the app's data on Android or delete the app. Local data may be included in an Apple, Google, or device backup depending on your backup settings; uninstalling normally removes the active copy but may not remove an older backup.
Files leave the app only when you choose: a document (with your details, the client's details, logo and signature as shown) is shared as a PDF through the share sheet or sent to the system print dialog, a CSV of your documents is shared through the share sheet, and "Create backup" in Backup & Trash makes files with the documents (with all their revisions and any draft), clients and items that are not in Trash (records in Trash are left out), the logo files those documents and your Profile use, your Profile (including your signature), numbering, default settings and deletion records, which you save to a folder you pick on Android or share one by one. PDF, CSV and shared backup files, copies of the backup files you pick for restore, and temporary copies of a picked logo image are written to the app's cache and may stay there until the system clears it. The app does not delete copies you saved or sent elsewhere. Restore reads backup files you pick.
Because we do not receive your records, we cannot delete them for you; the controls above remove them from the app. For questions about data processed by Google or InMobi, or to ask us for help with a privacy request, contact us at the address below.
Data processed by third parties is retained according to their service settings and policies. We use these services under their applicable terms, and we ensure that third-party service providers with whom we share user data provide the same or equal protection of that data as stated in this policy.

SECURITY
Your documents, logo and signature are kept in the app's private storage on your device, which the operating system protects from other apps; they are not separately encrypted by the app, so protect your device with a passcode. Apart from the limited analytics events described above, the app does not upload your saved data. Communication between the app and Google services and the ad mediation partner uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we limit what the app collects to what is described in this policy.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
The app calculates totals and taxes from the rates and prices you enter. It is not tax, accounting or legal advice, and it does not check whether a document meets the invoicing or tax rules where you work. Check the figures and required details yourself, and ask a tax adviser or accountant if you are unsure. The app does not send documents to any tax authority.
CHILDREN
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
CHANGES
We may update this policy if the app or its services change. The date above shows the latest revision.
