If your phone or tablet is misbehaving, it's possible that a third-party app is causing the issue. To figure out what app is acting funny, you can use the Safe mode feature. In Safe mode, your device won't run any third-party apps. This allows you to easily identify and remove the app that may be causing the problem.

To exit Safe mode, simply restart your phone or tablet and it will reboot normally. Or, you can tap the Safe mode notification; swipe down from the top of the screen, and then tap the Safe mode is on notification. Tap Turn off.

To exit Safe mode, simply restart your phone or tablet and it will reboot normally. Or, you can tap the Safe mode notification; swipe down from the top of the screen, and then tap the Safe mode is on notification. Tap Turn off.

Using Safe Mode on a Samsung phone or tablet allows you to force the device to run the essential operating system, and disable most 3rd party applications. It's designed as a diagnostic tool to help solve issues with connectivity, battery life, and more. You might use Safe Mode to test whether or not a 3rd party application is causing ads to appear on your device, or maybe something is interfering with incoming and outgoing calls. A rogue app can even use up an unusually large amount of mobile data - Safe Mode will restrict mobile data access to 3rd party apps completely. You can still make and recieve phone calls and messages in Safe Mode; other apps are dependant on the specific device.

Please Note: This guide is designed for Australian variant Galaxy phones. If you have an international device and require further support click here to get in touch with your Samsung Subsidiary.

Within Safe Mode you'll be able to test for lots of different issues, navigate around the device to see if you run into any problems. You can use Safe Mode to keep an eye on your battery life or mobile data usage for as long as you'd like; however there will be apps that won't be available inside Safe Mode.

You need your laptop connected to the same WiFi network as your Watch if you have a dual band modem connect both to the 2.4 Ghz band.

At least for me my llaptop can not be connected to Ethernet.

Sometimes you have to set your mobile as hotspot and connect both laptop and watch to that.

I had the same problem, i resolved it the follow way:

when I activated the developper mode in my tv, put my address ip and restart the tv.

image1366768 186 KB you can know your ip address typing ipconfig in your cmd console.

After go to remote device manager in Tizen studio, you do not need add the new connection, only scan and voila, you tv samsung will appear in your list, now you can connected to tv and install or create apps.

Eventually customer support got back in touch with me and told me to factory reset my TV to get it out of developer mode. This would mean completely erasing all apps and settings whenever my development computer changes IP address. That would be ridiculous even for a purely development device, let alone an appliance I and my family use daily.

Believe it or not this comes up a lot reboot your TV just like when you set developer mode. Generally it is to hold down the power key on the remote until it shuts off fully or says rebooting. But I think you can unplug it and waiting 5 minutes as well.

Hi All, My Samsung Galaxy got slow so I decided to do a hard factory reset, after that I could not log in to my phone. Going thru the setup steps 1st language, 2nd WiFi, 3rd Samsung Account login.I was hoping a factory reset will resolve the issue has in turn stopped me logging in to the Samsung account from the device ('processing failed') . I can log on to the Samsung account from another device. Samsung call center have so far have been unable to help. I actually have 2 old Samsung Galaxy that I am using as paper weight because of not able to login into my Samsung account on the phone, thanks to Samsung for their latest update. I did reset the device again and change the password on the account I even created another account with no luck. Any advice please?! I'd love to recover my Samsung device's back and get them back in good use again.

Hi, Thanks for your response, As I mentioned the phone is stuck at the Samsung account login and I cant go further in to check the device setting and software, it look like Samsung did something to there software that no matter which device you have of there products it will have the same problem ( from all the search on the web) if you decide to factory reset it. also I didn't understand the part when connecting the phone to the PC is there a certain software to use like iTunes with iPhone or what is the purpose of connecting the phone to the computer?

Maintenance Mode was successfully trialed on the Galaxy S21 series in Korea in July and then launched in China in September 2022. It launches globally today, gradually rolling out over the next few months on select models running One UI 5. The rollout will continue throughout 2023, with availability expanding to more Galaxy devices. Stay tuned for more information on local availability.

1 Availability may vary by market and model. Maintenance Mode is available on selected Samsung Galaxy devices running One UI 5 or later versions, including Galaxy S21 and S22 series. Timing of availability may vary by market, model and network provider.

2 As a precautionary measure, users are encouraged to back up any personal data before activating Maintenance Mode.

The original problem was that the "Google Play Services" kept stopping and throwing errors on the screen. I tried clearing the cache for

related apps and when this didn't work I also cleared the cache partition from the recovery menu. None of this fixed the problem.

The device then notified about a system update which I started. After a reboot, the device got stuck in the current boot loop.

I have tried all button combinations to enter recovery mode, but all the device shows is the start of a system update and then it immediately shows an error and reboots again.

I have also tried to let the battery drain completely and do a cold boot, as well as let the device charge for a couple of hours, without any change in behaviour.

I made a couple of videos showing the current behaviour, the boot loop and the screen that pops up when trying to enter recovery mode.

When plugged into my computer, I can hear the Windows device connect sound when the screen with only "Samsung" shows up and device manager shows an MTP USB device, but adb doesn't list any devices.

If the above does not allow the device to reboot, your tablet will require service. To have the service set up, please send your model and serial number to this PM Link, and I will be happy to further assist you.

The smart switch method was a life saver! Got into a similar situation of flight mode stuck between on and off states and no cellular connectivity. Upgrading the phone through smart switch did the trick. Thanks for this suggestion.

I updated my phone yesterday because it kept on bugging me in the notifications for a couple of weeks. Then it just went on to a boot loop! No choice but to reset my phone, no backup. After resetting, the phone still wants me to UPDATE!!! WTF!!! To anyone reading this, NEVER, ever update your Samsung phone. Especially old models. It will mess up your phone because they wan't you to buy a new one!!!

But every now and then the adb devices command just fails to find your device. Maybe if you're working with some experimental or prototype or out-of-the-ordinary device, maybe it's just unknown and won't show up.

You can help adb to find your device by telling it about your device's "Vendor ID," essentially providing it with a hint. This can be done by putting the hex Vendor ID in the file ~/.android/adb_usb.ini

Expand the "Hardware" tree, select "USB", then look for your target device. In the above example, my device is named "SomeDevice" (I did that in photoshop to hide the real device manufacturer). Another example would be a Samsung tablet which shows up as "SAMSUNG_Android" (btw, I didn't have to do anything special to make the Samsung tablet work.) Anyway, click your device and the full details will display in the pane below. This is where it lists the Vendor ID. In my example from the screenshot the value is 0x9d17 -- use this value in the next command

It's okay if you didn't already have that adb_usb.ini file before this, most of the time it's just not needed for finding your device so it's not unusual for that file to not be present. The above command will create it or append to the bottom of it if it already exists. Now run the commands listed way above to restart adb and you should be good to go.

After getting the devices connected but you suddenly unplug the USB cable, and suppose now "adb devices" cannot see your device any more, even after "adb kill-server", in this case, you may want to try the following:

In my case (Android 4.3) I went into the USB settings under the notifications and changed from MTP mode (Media device) to PTP (camera) and as soon as it switched, the device showed up in the ADT device list.

I have seen this problem and tried every solution on stackoverflow and other sites, but nothing help me.

I have restarted adb, switching on developer mode and activating usb debugging, uninstalling samsung kies and even exchanging the usb cables to different ports.

But then I read somewhere that different usb cable use different pins for connecting to the laptop or computer.

So I used different usb cable to connect my samsung phone to mac .. and vowwww it works... for me......

If you are in Android Recovery Mode, use the volume buttons to navigate to Reboot now and press the power button to select it. Your phone will now reboot back into whichever version of Android you have installed. e24fc04721
