Me and two of my dog collaborators: Elton and Winston (Not pictured: Lucy and Newton. See below). They are all very essential to the work!
I am a 4th year PhD Student working in the Miller Lab. I work with computational models to study fluid flow around Upsidedown jellyfish’s (Cassiopea) oral arms.
Interdisciplinary collaboration is central to my work, particularly with marine biologists, microbiologists, and computational scientists. As an active member of the Cassiopea Research Community, I engage with experts from various fields to advance our understanding of fluid dynamics and its broader implications.
Beyond research, I am dedicated to mentorship and education, particularly in supporting women and underrepresented groups in STEM. Inspired by my own mentors, I strive to foster curiosity and confidence in my students, helping them see the real-world impact and beauty of mathematics. When I am not doing mathematics or working with jellyfish, I really enjoy spending time with my 4 dogs.
