I have worked for the Toronto District School Board since 2018. I have worked in a variety of roles such as: P/J Occasional Teacher, Primary Music Teacher and most recently a homeroom Kindergarten Teacher (2019/2020).
I have a passion for kindergarten and I hope to being working with the primary level again come September.
I first started out my teaching career in the private sector. I worked in the Junior School at a girls private school in Toronto from 2014-2018. I had various roles over the course of my time there such as: After Care Coordinator, P/J Occasional Teacher, Kindergarten Teacher and Primary Music Teacher.
I truly loved my time working in the private sector and my passion is taking all that i've learned from working with those amazing educators and bringing it to the public school setting.
I have worked at the Ontario Educational Leadership Center (OELC) for the past 8 years. I have been a teacher-facilitator of leadership programs for grades 7 - 12 in the areas of teaching leadership skills through the arts.
For the past 3 years I have taken on an administrator role for the Intermediate Arts Emerging Leadership course.
I have been involved with the Girl Guides of Canada for most of my life. I was a girl members throughout my childhood and move into a leadership position when I turned 19. I have been actively leading groups of sparks (ages 5-6) and Brownies (ages 7-8) for the past 9 years. I love all of the parts of the Girl Guide programming including outdoor skills, STEM activities and art experiences. In addition to leading my unit groups I am a Girl Guide trainer and hold a position of responsibility as a community guider.
