The design document is a helpful tool in outlining the problem and the proposed solution. 

Here is the design document I created for a food safety Storyline course.  

After creating the design doucment, gathering feedback, and making appropriate adjustments, I begin creating a storyboard. 

This storyboard is for my food safety course.  The purpose of this document is to create a detailed description of each module or slide in the course. This can then be used as a blueprint when developing the e-learning in an authoring tool.
