Masters of Health Science: Orthotics and Prosthetics '18
I learned a long time ago, that if you want to achieve a goal bad enough, you will do everything in your power to achieve it. I always wanted to help others and make the world a better place. I embarked on a journey that would allow me to do so. It started with my love for granting wishes through The Make-A-Wish foundation. After I graduated North Carolina State University, I had the opportunity to travel the world learning how to further myself for my future. For as long as I remember, I wanted to do big things. And no matter how much I accomplish, I still do.
During the last few years of my life, I have had various experiences which have made me who I am today. Between studying to get my degree in education, working as a Brand Ambassador for well-known brands like Coca Cola, and Jim Beam and volunteering for countless hours, I continue to work on being the best version of myself I can be. I love to explore new places, travel on new adventures and meet new people. I am loving the journey I am on and continue to learn as I go.
I completed my masters degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 2018 at California State and completed my residency with Hanger Clinic in the Raleigh/ Durham area with experience at Duke University Medical Center. Since then I have spoken at national conferences, presented at in-services and partnered with local organizations to grow adaptive sports and other inclusive programs. I am looking forward to gaining new information, meeting new people and continuing to make an impact on those around me. I continue to further my education, serve underserved populations, volunteer my time weekly and I am willing to take on new adventures as they present themselves.Â
