Bigg Boss 14 premiered on October 3 with some hot performances from the BB contestants as well as some new twists. For the 11th time, host Salman Khan returns to the show. Earlier seasons of Bigg Boss appeared to exist in a parallel universe. However, as fans, we feel more attached to the overall idea of these celebrity contestants being restricted inside the Bigg Boss house walls this time. The shutdown in India, which started on March 22 in response to the novel coronavirus pandemic, had Bigg Boss vibes.
The whole year of 2020 resembles a stay in the Bigg Boss building, not just the lockout time. Bigg Boss, on the other hand, looks like the latest standard for the year 2020. It's no surprise, then, that the Bigg Boss theme for this year is Ab Scene Paltega, Kyunki Bigg Boss Dega 2020 Ko Jawab. They are still attempting to profit from this idea. Since there is no antidote for the novel coronavirus, it is recommended that people remain indoors and only go outside if absolutely necessary. We were restricted to our homes, left to order items online, and given various duties, similar to Bigg Boss, such as lighting lamps and banging dishes. A contestant's elimination can be triggered by leaving the Bigg Boss house. When stepping outside our house could carry the novel coronavirus into our household, which could be lethal for the individual or their loved ones.
Being restricted to one's home has negative consequences, such as unneeded fights, mental breakdowns, and abnormal behavior. We've seen it all on Bigg Boss over the last 13 seasons, and we're confident that the upcoming 14th season will have some of it as well.
Domestic abuse in India escalated during the lockdown. We don't see domestic violence on the show, but there has been plenty of abusive behavior. From the battles between Sidharth Shukla and Asim Riaz to Rashmi Desai tossing tea, Sreesanth going berserk, and Pooja Misra smashing the wiper, there's enough for everybody. When asked about their aggressive conduct, the Big Brother contestants usually said that being trapped inside the house brought out the worst in them.
The Bigg Boss contestants are monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We may not have the fancy cameras following our every move in our building, but we've made our lockout lives public on social media. All was clicked, from posting what we prepared and ate to who we had a virtual group with. Furthermore, people who live in diverse cities away from their homes have been subjected to relentless monitoring by their families. Especially in light of the increasing number of suicides. Not once, but twice a day, audio calls morphed into video calls. Or much better!
People became visibly emotional as a result of the situation's confusion. (Now we know why those contestants were crying buckets when they saw their families inside the BB house.) In the current scenario, sons and daughters are concerned over their aging parents being separated by towns. Nobody knew when they'd get to see each other again, and their parents were excited to get their kids back home so they could see their child again. Viewers will see Bigg Boss in a different light this year after seeing the year 2020. Perhaps you can even sympathize with the contestants.
A pool, a theater, a shopping center, and a restaurant have been added to the Bigg Boss 14 house this year. According to the creators, things that one cannot enjoy in the outside world can be appreciated inside the home. The mall, on the other hand, would not have the same sense of fulfillment as spending one's hard-earned money on products. Contestants can win a challenge and receive points that they can use to purchase items from the BB Mall. However, it will not be the same.
