As Dr. Jose P. Rizal famously asserted, "The youth is the hope of the nation." This statement highlights the crucial role young people play in shaping the country's future. The 1987 Philippine Constitution affirms this in Section 13, Article II, where it recognizes the youth’s significant role in nation-building and mandates the promotion of their physical, intellectual, and social well-being. It further calls for the instillation of patriotism and nationalism, and the encouragement of youth involvement in public and civic life.
