In the United States, a most of our government officials at the tops of our cities, states, country are elected by the people. As an American, voting is one of the most effective ways that we as a group can change how our lives run. While American elections seem like major events with millions of people deciding the results, that is not usually the case. Most of the elections in this country are for positions at the state, county, and city level. These races are where a lot of the most pressing issues happen at the local level, which makes these races just as if not more important.
