Teacher of the Year 2020 | Literacy Specialist & Reading Tutor

Hello! I’m Paige Gugino, a reading tutor in Buffalo who is passionate about helping children become confident, successful readers. I offer one-on-one reading tutoring sessions in your home or at a local library.

I was honored as Teacher of the Year in 2020 for my dedication to student growth, creating inclusive learning environments, and helping children reach their full potential. With 8 years of elementary teaching experience, I specialize in supporting students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and other learning differences.

I use the Orton-Gillingham approach, a proven way to help children who struggle with reading, including students with dyslexia. Lessons are clear, structured, and engaging, helping children build strong reading and spelling skills step by step. Every lesson is created specifically for your child’s needs so they can grow their skills, build confidence, and feel successful as a reader.

I hold a Master of Science in Education in Literacy with a Dyslexia Endorsement from the University of Central Arkansas and am certified in the Orton-Gillingham approach. I use individualized supports such as movement breaks, visual tools, timers, multi-sensory activities, and structured routines to help students stay engaged, feel successful, and develop a love of reading.
