"Our son was on an IEP with his school from grades 1-6, and the school told us he was making progress with his reading. Then his testing in 7th grade showed that he had made no progress in his reading, and we could tell. Simple first-grade texts were painful for him to read to us. Then we found Ms. Peters and the Orton-Gillingham reading curriculum. Over the last 3 years, Ms. Peters and our son have put in countless hours during the school years and even over the summers. During that time, his reading level went from Pre-K levels to reading at almost his current grade level. Ms. Peters is the only teacher who has been able to teach our son to his learning style.
