A. Reading Practice Data & Progress
To help you track your reading improvements, the app processes data related to your practice sessions, including:
- Reading speed (words per minute), accuracy scores, and comprehension quiz results.
- Time spent practicing and daily/weekly streaks.
- Custom texts or books you import into the app for practice.
Where it lives: By default, this data is stored locally on your Android device. If you create an account to sync progress across devices, this data is securely backed up to our cloud servers.
B. Android Device Permissions
Depending on how you use the app, we may request the following permissions on your Android device:
- Storage / Media Files (Optional): Required if you use the feature to import your own EPUB, PDF, or text files into the app for reading practice.
- Microphone (Optional): Required *only* if your app features a "Read Aloud / Speech Recognition" practice mode to evaluate pronunciation. We do not record, store, or transmit your voice data; voice processing is handled locally on the device or via Android's native Speech-to-Text API.
- Notifications (Optional): Used to send you daily reading reminders to maintain your practice habits.
C. Automatically Collected Technical Data
To maintain app stability and fix bugs, we use third-party tools (like Google Firebase Crashlytics) which may automatically collect:
- Device information (model, operating system version).
- App performance metrics (crash logs, freeze reports).
- Anonymized usage statistics (e.g., which reading levels or features are opened most frequently).

2. Third-Party Services

3. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your reading progress data for as long as you use the app. If you use the app entirely offline, deleting the app from your device will permanently erase all local practice data.
