Who is the author, Dr. Muhammad Yahya Noori?

Dr. Muhammad Yahya Noori is a Professor of Microbiology and Director Digital Learning at Dow University of Health Sciences.  He is the founder of Numood (www.numood.org), an Insitute for Leadership Development.

Dr. Yahya is a life-long learner.  A medical doctor by education, he completed his MBBS from Dow Medical College in 2005 and obtained his PhD in Infection and Immunity from the University of Glasgow, UK in 2013.  He also holds an MBA in Marketing and an MSc in Organizational Psychology.  He is has recently completed an Advanced Diploma in Health Professionals Education from The Aga Khan University.

He is a certified religious scholar and has completed his 8 years of “Shahadat ul Alamia’ from “Wifaq ul Madaris ul Arabia’ and an MA in Islamic Studies from Karachi University.  

Dr. Yahya has more than two decades of teaching experience.  Besides his core subjects Microbiology and Immunology, he has been teaching Psychology, Marketing, Personal Development, Organizational Behavior, Leadership and Communication Skills through different courses and workshops at and beyond Dow University.  He is keenly interested in e-learning and teaching with technology. 

He is also a certified Life-Coach, a Hyponsis Practitioner and a Licensened Neurolinguistic Programming Practitioner.

He has been on various consultative and leadership positions and has worked closely with his colleagues and students.  At Dow University, he is a member of various committees including Core group for Strategic Planning, Institutional Review Board and Curriculum Committees. 

He regularly writes about health, personal & professional development, and Workplace well-being, and has published two books on the topic.  He is a known speaker on this subject and is frequently invited to speak on these topics by various entities.   He delivers different courses through Numood to desseminate his knowledge and experience.
