Students who struggle with reading need support for working with information text across the curriculum. Whether the student is dealing with the challenge of a disability or struggling with reading fluency, designing reading supports, instruction, and intervention using the principles of Universal Design for Learning can help meet the needs of all students.
This online resource was designed to provide educators tools and strategies that can be used to design universal instruction that supports reading across the curriculum. Here you will find strategies, ideas for instructional scaffolding, cognitive supports, and other resources that can be used in the classroom. To help with navigating all of the resources on this website, there will either be a menu on the left side of the screen or a drop-down menu represented by the hamburger (three stacked lines) icon in the upper left corner.
The following are the three main sections of this online resource.
