Deputies responded to a homicide on Tuesday after responding to an ongoing assault, according to the Bartow County Sheriff's Office. Deputies were sent to a location near Parkway Station Drive in Bartow County after hearing claims that Caleb Thomas had been assaulted, according to the sheriff's office.

Witnesses stated that Thomas was spotted escaping from a silver Toyota Tacoma with four doors that was parked nearby while two guys pursued him. The victim was assaulted by the two guys before he exited the Toyota, according to witnesses who called the sheriff's office.
