Yes! The foundational and grade level standards are conveniently listed below each Module on the grade level pages so you can find the assessment that fits best for any curriculum.
The RAMP assessments are vary from the Smarter Balanced interim assessments in a number of ways:
They are aligned to the scope and sequence of a particular curriculum and sometimes assess foundational learning from multiple standard domains.
They include some constructed response questions, while the interim assessments include only DOK level 1 and 2 questions.
They provide guidance on next steps once formative assessment data has been gathered.
They are available in both print and digital formats
No, RAMP does not have a comprehensive readiness assessment for any grade level. Instead, we have chosen to write short, formative assessments that will support teachers in addressing unfinished learning "just in time" throughout the year and in the context of grade level learning. This approach is supported by research on best practices.
Each assessment is available in both print and digital form. Both versions can be used during Distance Learning in the following ways:
Students receive a print copy of the assessment in their weekly or monthly packets and submit a scan of the completed assessment to their teacher.
Parents can use the scanning feature on the iPhone Notes App, other free scanning Apps like Evernote Scannable, or can take a picture on their phone to capture their child's work.
It may be helpful to have students complete the assessment in pen or darker pencil so their work can easily be seen in a scan or picture.
Teachers assign the assessment to students through Nearpod and have students work in either a synchronous meeting through their chosen conference platform or asynchronously.
Teachers can view student work on their Nearpod Student Dashboard.
RAMP assessments are meant to be administered prior to teaching your grade level content to inform your instructional decisions during the module.
