PDF READER PRIVACY POLICY

Effective date: 25 September 2026

WHO OPERATES PDF READER

PDF Reader is operated by creatixhub (“we”, “us”, or “our”). For privacy questions, contact rakeshbrajwasi143@gmail.com.

THE SHORT VERSION

PDF Reader does not require an account. PDFs you import, the library information you create, and your reading details are stored in the app's private storage on your device. The app does not send PDF contents, document names, bookmarks, notes, or reading progress to a server operated by us. The app includes Google Mobile Ads, which can send ad-related information to Google and its advertising partners as described below.

INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

When you use PDF Reader, the app stores information needed to provide its features:

• Imported PDFs and PDFs created with the app's tools.

• Document names, file sizes, page counts, import dates, reading progress, and a local file fingerprint used to identify duplicate files.

• PDF page thumbnails, favorites, folders, bookmarks, notes, and app preferences.

• If you enable the app lock, a salted PIN verifier and lockout counters in the device's secure storage. Your PIN itself is not stored by the app. Biometric checks are handled by your device's operating system; PDF Reader does not receive your fingerprint or face data.

This information is kept in app storage on your device and is not uploaded to a server operated by us. The app does not provide account registration, cloud sync, or a developer-operated backup service. Device backup behavior, where available, is controlled by the operating system and your device settings.

FILES, SHARING, AND PRINTING

You choose which PDFs to import through the device's file picker. Importing makes a copy in PDF Reader's app storage; the source file you selected is not changed. You can remove the app's copy from its library. That action does not delete the separate source file.

If you choose to share or print a document, the selected file is passed to the share or print app/service you choose. That service handles the file under its own terms and privacy policy. PDF Reader does not control what that service does with the file.

ADVERTISING AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

PDF Reader includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) and requests banner, interstitial, and app-open ads. Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect and share information such as the device IP address, app and ad interactions, diagnostic information, and device or advertising identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Google and the ad partners selected in the publisher's AdMob configuration may process this information. It may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Google's handling is described in Google's privacy information and the Google Mobile Ads SDK disclosure:

https://policies.google.com/privacy

https://developers.google.com/admob/android/privacy/play-data-disclosure

Ad requests use the SDK configuration in the installed app. This version does not include an in-app control for advertising privacy preferences. Ad delivery and data processing may also be affected by your device settings, your location, and Google's policies. We do not include Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics in the current app code. If we add services or change data practices, we will update this policy and the applicable store disclosures.

INTERNET AND DEVICE FEATURES

The app needs internet access for advertising services. PDF selection uses the system file picker; PDF Reader does not request broad access to all files on your device. If you enable biometrics, the device's operating system performs the authentication. The app receives only whether authentication succeeded or failed.

RETENTION AND DELETION

Your imported PDFs, thumbnails, library records, bookmarks, notes, and preferences remain on your device until you remove them in the app, clear the relevant app data, or uninstall the app. Use the app's library controls to remove imported copies, and Settings to clear thumbnail cache. PIN verifier and related lock data can be removed by disabling the app lock or clearing app data. Files already sent to another app for sharing or printing are governed by that app's retention and deletion practices.

SECURITY

We use the app's private storage for your local library and the operating system's secure storage for the PIN verifier. A PIN or biometric lock restricts access to the app; it does not separately encrypt PDF files. Keep your device protected and retain your own copies of important documents.

CHILDREN

PDF Reader is a general-purpose document reader and is not designed specifically for children. Advertising services may apply their own age-related restrictions and settings.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy when app features, services, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will show when the current version took effect. Material changes will also be reflected in the app or store listing where appropriate.
