Readark ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data when you use our application and Safari extension. Our core principle is simple: We do not collect any personal information, and we do not know who you are.
1. Data Collection & Usage
Readark is designed to respect your anonymity. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data such as names, email addresses, or contact information.
Browsing History: The Safari extension processes website data locally on your device to apply dark mode styles. Your browsing history is never tracked, stored, or sent to any servers.
Input Data: We do not have access to, nor do we read, any sensitive information you enter into websites, such as passwords or credit card details.
2. Safari Extension Permissions
To function, the Safari extension requires permission to "read and change content" on websites.
This permission is used exclusively to analyze the background and text colors of the sites you visit to inject custom CSS (Dark Mode).
All processing happens locally on your device. No website data is ever transmitted or shared with us or any third parties.
3. Analytics & Development (Firebase)
We use Google Firebase for basic app analytics and to improve the performance of Readark.
Non-Personal Data: We collect anonymous, aggregated technical data (e.g., app crashes, device model, or which features are most used).
Privacy Guard: This data is not linked to your identity. It is used solely to identify bugs and enhance the user experience.
4. Payments & Purchases (RevenueCat)
Our one-time purchase "Lifetime" model is managed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat.
Security: Your payment information is processed directly by Apple. We never see or store your financial details.
Purchase Validation: RevenueCat uses an anonymous identifier to verify your "Premium" status across your devices. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally.
5. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. There are no advertising networks or user-tracking scripts integrated into Readark.
