You can call me AJ. I constantly have my hand on my hook and my head in the clouds dreaming up the next piece I'll get to craft. I've been crocheting for over 20 years, and have started knitting again in the last 3 years, or so.
If I'm not playing with yarn, I'm out hiking, reading, or I'm playing mtg or watching a show with my husband and our dog.
I'm most proud of being a new momma to a baby girl named Rose. I'm secondly most proud of my growing collection of hand-made sweaters.
Hi everyone! I’m Julia. I grew up a voracious reader, and, like a lot of millennials, have been rediscovering my love for a good book in my adult years. I have tons of hobbies (fiber, reading, piano, gaming, pinball… the list goes on) so it was paramount to me to figure out how to multitask them. In the recent years, I started pairing audio books with my more complicated knits - and thus, Read it and WIP was born.
I have been garment knitting for close to 10 years now, and I have no intention of slowing down. I also dabble in crochet (when the mood strikes me). My favorite things to make are tops and shawls, and my favorite book genres are mystery and fantasy.
You can find me telling my husband long drawn-out plots to whatever I am reading just to tell him the punch line to a joke I think is funny. I love taking in stories in many forms, but my favorite is reading. I want to be transported to a new world with magic and adventure!
I learned to crochet in 2019 as something to do other than read textbooks during grad school. Now you will find me with multiple projects on my hooks or needles and every once in a while, having a finished object to show off!
Outside of books and crafts you can find me hanging upside down at the aerial studio or playing video games!
It's Julia. Julia's house is the studio. Julia is the editing extraordinaire. Julia may or may not be in a cult.
