Privacy Policy for Reaction Time Tester

This privacy policy describes how Reaction Time Tester ("the app", "we", "us") handles information.
Information We Collect
Reaction Time Tester does not require an account, login, email address, or any personal information to play. The app does not collect, store, or transmit your name, email address, location, or any other personally identifiable information.
The only information that ever leaves your device is your global leaderboard entry, described in the "Global Leaderboard" section below.
Data stored on your device
The app saves your reaction-time statistics (personal best, average, and recent attempt history, per game mode) and your chosen leaderboard name locally on your device using standard on-device storage. This data is removed automatically if you uninstall the app.
Global Leaderboard
The app includes a public leaderboard of the fastest reaction times.
What is uploaded. When you achieve a new personal best in a game mode, the app publishes two things: that single reaction time in milliseconds, and your leaderboard name. Individual attempts, your average, and your attempt history are never uploaded - only your single best time per mode.
Anonymous identifier. To let you update your own entry and no one else's, the app signs in anonymously to Google Firebase Authentication, which issues a random identifier for your app installation. This identifier is not linked to your Google account, email address, phone number, contacts, or advertising ID, and cannot be used by us to identify you personally.
Your leaderboard name. A name is generated automatically for you (for example, "Player4821"). It is never taken from your device, your accounts, or any contact information. You can change it at any time on the Leaderboard screen. Because this name is displayed publicly to all players, please do not enter your real name or any other personal detail.
Where it is stored. Leaderboard entries are stored using Google Firebase Cloud Firestore, in Google's European Union multi-region (eur3). Entries are publicly readable within the app by design, as that is the purpose of a leaderboard.
Deletion. Uninstalling the app removes all data stored on your device, but does not remove an entry that has already been published to the leaderboard. If you would like your leaderboard entry removed, please contact us at the address at the end of this policy.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Reaction Time Tester displays ads (banner and interstitial ads) provided by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, Google AdMob and its partners may automatically collect certain information from your device, such as your advertising ID, IP address, device type, and general usage data, and may use this information to show you relevant ads.

You can manage your ad personalization settings (including opting out of personalized ads) in your device's settings under Google > Ads.
Children's Privacy
Reaction Time Tester is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, please contact us so we can address it.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent any information. Your leaderboard name and best time are shown publicly inside the app, which is the purpose of the leaderboard; nothing else is shared. Any data collection by third-party services (Google AdMob, Google Firebase) is described above and governed by Google's privacy policy.
