RE4Web3 Submissions Types
RE4Web3 2025 will accept four types of submissions:
Industry reports (max 6 pages). These are papers on problem statements or challenges encountered in real-life organizations or examples of successes/failures of RE4WEB3 research in practice.
Position paper (max 6 pages): Short paper, stating the position of the author(s) on any of the workshop topics.
Research design paper (max 6 pages). Short paper specifying a problem related to any workshop topics and a roadmap towards addressing it.
Research paper (8 pages). A long paper describing a full-fledged research work, including motivation, state-of-the-art discussion, proposal, validation, and analysis of related works.
All the papers should be related to the topics of interest indicated in the Call for Papers.
RE4Web3 Publication
Accepted papers will be published in the proceedings, and made available via IEEE Xplore.
Accepted papers will be published in the IEEE RE 2025 Conference Workshops (REW) proceedings, and made available via IEEE Xplore.

All submissions must be in English. All papers submitted to the workshop will be peer-reviewed by members of the Program Committee. Acceptance will be primarily based on originality, contribution to the area, amenability to generate discussion, quality of the paper and of the research, and research completeness. Only original papers not currently under consideration for publication in journals or other conferences will be considered.
The format of your paper must strictly adhere to the IEEEtran Proceedings Format. LaTeX users: please use the LaTeX class file IEEEtran v1.8 and the following configuration (without option ‘compsoc’ or ‘compsocconf’): \documentclass[conference]{IEEEtran}
Word users: please use this Word template. See the official IEEE Templates page for more information.
Please make sure that your submission:
does not exceed the respective page limit specified in the track call
is in PDF format,
is in letter page size,
does not have page numbers,
has all fonts embedded in the PDF file,
uses only scalable font types (like Type 1, TrueType) — bit-mapped font types (like Type 3) are not acceptable,
has all figures embedded in vector graphics (if not possible, use a high-resolution bitmap format of at least 300 dpi; do not use JPG, but a lossless format like PNG or GIF),
has all text in figures and tables large enough and readable when printed,
has a caption for every figure or table,
has the title and all headings properly capitalized
has no orphans and widows (cf. Section Help), and
does not use footnote references in the abstract.
