# Privacy Policy — Orbit
**Last updated:** March 2025
**Application:** Orbit (`com.outer.orbit`)
---
## 1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application **Orbit** (package name `com.outer.orbit`), developed for the Android operating system.
Respecting your privacy and protecting your personal data is fundamental to how Orbit is designed. This policy explains in detail how the application handles information.
---
## 2. Data Collection and Processing
**Orbit does not collect, store, process, or transmit any personal data.**
* **No Personal Identifiers:** No name, email address, phone number, advertising ID, or device identifier is collected.
* **No User Accounts:** Orbit does not require account creation, passwords, or authentication.
* **No Telemetry or Analytics:** No third-party analytics, usage tracking tools, or crash reporting services are integrated into the application.
---
## 3. No Network Access (Internet)
The Orbit application functions **100% offline**.
* **No Internet Permission:** The application does not declare or use the Android `android.permission.INTERNET` permission.
* **Technical Guarantee:** As a technical restriction enforced by the Android operating system, the absence of network permissions ensures that no data stored inside the application can ever be sent to any external server, cloud service, or third party.
---
## 4. Local Data Storage
All data you enter into Orbit (lists, categories, tasks, display preferences, Field mode state) is stored **exclusively locally on your device** in a secure internal database (SQLite / Room).
* Your data never leaves your device's local storage.
* Uninstalling the application or clearing its storage via Android settings permanently deletes the local database.
---
## 5. Export, Import, and Sharing Features
Orbit offers data management features that are triggered **only by explicit user action**:
1. **File Export and Import (JSON):**
* You can export your lists and tasks as a `.json` file or import a previously saved backup file.
* This operation relies on the native Android system file picker (*Storage Access Framework*). The application only accesses the specific file you choose to create or open.
2. **Incoming Sharing (*Share Target*):**
* You can share text from other applications to Orbit to create a task.
* Text sharing is processed locally on your device using native Android system mechanisms (`android.intent.action.SEND`). No remote servers are involved.
---
## 6. Third-Party Services and Libraries
Orbit only uses official AndroidX and Material Design libraries provided by Google.
**No third-party SDKs, ad networks, tracking tools, or telemetry libraries are present in the application.**
---
## 7. Child Safety and Target Audience
Orbit is designed to be suitable for all audiences (PEGI 3 / Everyone).
In compliance with the Google Play Families Policy and relevant privacy regulations (such as COPPA and GDPR), Orbit does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children.
---
## 8. Your Rights
As a user, you retain complete control over your data:
* **Right to Access and Modify:** You can view, edit, or reorder all your data directly within the Orbit user interface.
* **Right to Erasure:** You can delete individual tasks or lists at any time, or completely reset the application by uninstalling Orbit or clearing its data via your device settings.
* **Data Portability:** You can export your data at any time in standard JSON format.
---
## 9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in the application or legal requirements. Any updates will be published on the application's store listing or hosted documentation page.
