The COVID-19 pandemic was hard on many of Lock Haven's citizens and local businesses. State restrictions made it hard for local businesses to survive this difficult time in most places. Mayor Long and the council helped our local businesses survive COVID-19 restrictions, by doing things like starting the pedestrian mall. An action which helped businesses greatly, and still helps draw in business, even after COVID-19 restrictions ended. Unlike most places, Lock Haven gained many new businesses during the pandemic, rather than lose a bunch. Our local businesses are now thriving.
