What We Believe

Our Belief Concerning Our Calling:

We believe God has called Refuge Deliverance Outreach Church to Reach Out to all people— the lost, the forgotten, the hurting, and the healthy—because all are created by God and worthy of His love.

Our Belief Concerning Community:

We believe that God has placed us in the heart of the inner-city community to be a light in a dark world. Surrounded by families, homes, churches, and businesses, we are called to share hope, compassion, and the love of Jesus with everyone we encounter.

Our Belief Concerning Service:

We believe in giving back what God has so graciously given to us. Through every Godly means necessary, we are committed to supporting, uplifting, and encouraging God’s people—spiritually, emotionally, and practically.

Our Belief Concerning Spiritual Growth:

We believe that God desires His people to grow strong in faith, united in love, and rooted in righteousness. It is our mission to help individuals build trust in God and walk boldly in their purpose.

Our Belief Concerning the Church:

We believe the church is a refuge—a place of healing, restoration, and transformation. We believe in a united and healthy church: spiritually, physically, financially, and relationally, strengthened one family at a time by the grace of God. And we believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the Rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.

Our Belief Concerning the World:

We believe that God’s love extends to every community and nation. We seek to see the world strengthened in righteousness, walking in the truth of Jesus Christ.

Our Belief Concerning Our Vision:

We believe that God has called us to shine His light, to stand for holiness, and to be an example of God’s grace and unity. Our vision is to see individuals and families restored, empowered, and equipped to live out God’s purpose for their lives.

Our Belief Concerning Our Purpose:

We believe that our assignment is to reach, support, teach, and uplift—impacting lives through the love, power, and truth of Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to be a growing, loving, and Spirit-led church for all people.

Our Belief Concerning Sin:
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance, faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ, and accepting the gospel according to
Romans 10: 9 and 10.

Our Belief Concerning Salvation:
We believe that the regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

Our Belief Concerning Christ:
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for
the human body, in answer to believing in prayer.

Our Belief Concerning the Holy Ghost:
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.

Our Belief Concerning Sanctification:
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost, by whose indwelling the
Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life, in this present world. Amen.
