Travel directions

• Airplane: The closest airport to Mannheim is Frankfurt International Airport (FRA). Then you can easily come to Mannheim Hbf (main train station) by train, see here for the schedule and prices: https://www.bahn.de/p/view/index.shtml
• Train: The destination is Mannheim Hbf, see above for the schedule and prices.
• The train ticket to Mannheim Hbf will typically allow you to take the bus / tram in the city of Mannheim. Just check if your ticket writes “Mannheim Hbf + City”. (This is the case in particular when you book the ticket online.)
• Mannheim Hbf to Math Department: From the main train station (Mannheim Hbf) you can come to the Mathematics Department either by Bus No 60 (direction “Pfeifferswörth”; get out at the third stop “Universität West”; this is right in front of the Math Dept; the bus passes three times per hour, at :00, :20, :40) or on foot (around 20 mins).

• Hotel Maritim: The address of the hotel is Friedrichspl. 2, 68165 Mannheim. You can reach the hotel from the main train station either on foot (5-10 mins) or using public transportation (bus No 60 to "Wasserturm" or Tram / Strassenbahn 1, 3, 4 or 5 to "Kunsthalle". From the hotel you can come to the Math Department either on foot (15-20 mins) or again with Bus No 60 (direction “Pfeifferswörth”; get out at the stop "Universität West").
