My name is Lay, I am a 35 years old Cuban-American living in California. I have a Bachelor's in Engineering, currently working as Instructional Coach/Math Teacher, I am a Data Analyst and I do have a specialization on Data Visualization in Tableau. I am a versatile individual with experience in collecting, transforming, and organizing data to help make informed decisions. In this case study, I performed many real-world tasks as a junior data analyst. I worked for Cyclistic Company, which is a bike-share company located in Chicago. The director of marketing believed the company’s future success depends on maximizing the number of annual memberships. Therefore, I studied how casual riders and annual members use Cyclistic bikes differently. From these insights, I predicted and designed a new marketing strategy to convert casual riders into annual members.
