Our research interests focus on three primary areas: 1) large-scale structural testing and development of innovative design details for enhanced performance of concrete structures; 2) evaluations of the structural behavior of conventional concrete and high-performance concrete under different strain rates of loadings (static, seismic, impact and blast loadings) and strategic design details to achieve suitable behavior and; 3) development of new construction materials, especially ultra-high-strength/performance concrete, for structural applications.
