International Collegiate Programming Contest is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious competitive programming contest for university students. The competition gathers teams of three students, coaches, universities, representatives of the IT industry, and future researchers from all over the world. fact sheet.

Faculty of Computer Science of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași hosted the first ICPC programming camp in Romania with international participation, with the help of many partners of the competitive programming community. The camp consisted of two days with five-hour long contests. Iași city is located in north-east Romania, and has the country's third largest international airport.

RCPCamp provided free accommodation for invited teams in student dormitories of the university's Theological Faculty, less than a kilometer away from the main campus and contest location, all meals, a city tour on the arrival day, and, last but not least, some prizes for the teams with the best overall ranking.

Participation in the camp was by invitation only. Together with the camp patrons we invited teams based on results from SEERC 2022, but also as to allow the participation of as many students as possible in the camps organized by ICPC. Coaches were contacted via the email used for SEERC registration. If some students could not attend the camp, they could have been replaced by others enrolled in the same university. 21 teams participated in the camp from: Romania 17, Moldova 2, Bulgaria 1 and Cyprus 1. Since the national Romanian ICPC phase was the Sunday camp contest, each Romanian university that participated in SEERC 2022 was invited, and other Romanian teams participated online for the RCPC.
