Seva Mohotsav: 6 Days of Heartfelt Impact and Community Transformation
"When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed." - Maya Angelou
Imagine a week where thousands of young, passionate individuals come together to bring smiles, hope, and positive change to their communities. Welcome to Seva Mohotsav, an extraordinary initiative by Rotaract District 3141, where over 10,000 Rotaractors across Mumbai dedicated six days to selfless service, spreading joy and making a real impact.
Day 1: Jeevandaan - Blood Donation Campaign
Kicking off with a life-saving mission, Rotaractors of MMK College gathered at Bandra Station for "Jeevandaan," a blood donation drive. The Rotaractors encouraged people to donate blood, and a few of them (rotaractors) also donated blood themselves. The overwhelming response and enthusiasm set the tone for the days to come. Every drop of blood donated was a step towards saving lives and supporting those in need.
Day 2: Annadaan - Food Donation at Cooper Hospital
The second day saw us at Cooper Hospital with "Annadaan," a food donation campaign. We served food to the needy people at Cooper Hospital. Serving nutritious meals to patients and their families, we witnessed firsthand the difference a good meal can make. The gratitude in their eyes was the perfect reward for our efforts.
Day 3: Orphanage Visit and Workshops
Day three was a whirlwind of activities. The Rotaractors of MMK College visited the children at Mount Mary Church and spent quality time with them by playing games and giving them colouring boxes as a memory to cherish. Back at college, we held a stress management workshop to guide people about stress management and an essential session on "Good Touch, Bad Touch," empowering students with knowledge and resilience.
