M.A. Clinical Psychology, University of Regina
BSc. (Hons) Psychology, Memorial University
Maria is a third year PsyD student at Memorial University. She is currently completing her doctoral dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Darcy Hallett and Dr. Nick Harris. Her dissertation examines the association between changes in parental factors (such as parenting behaviours and parental self-efficacy) and reported adolescent internalizing and externalizing behaviours from a sample of parents who have completed a parent training intervention.
Maria first began her work with the RCDMC lab in 2018 when she was a lab volunteer and later as an honours student. Her honours thesis examined the interplay between math anxiety and general anxiety from both parent and child perspectives. She is excited to be back in the RCDMC lab to complete her doctoral work.
